Playing Catch Up

Wow, a lot has gone on since the new year began! Tristan has by far had the most eventful month. He turned 11 on the 12th and had a great birthday. In fact, he told me it was his best one yet! Tristan had been saving for the last few months for an ipod, and he had saved half of the amount when his birthday rolled around. Well, for his birthday he received $100 which he was SO excited about, because he finally had enough for his ipod. And he was so proud to pick out and pay for it himself. Cahl and I also got him a case and charger for it and helped him download some things he wanted, as well as a rocket building kit. His brothers also got his some new Skylanders for the Wii game. On Saturday night, I took him, and 3 friends out to dinner at Johnny Rockets, the arcade and a movie. They all had a great time, and it was a lot of fun. Also this month, Tristan ran for his school's treasurer on the student council. And he won! He is super proud, of course we are also super proud of him, and he is so excited to get started with that. Tristan also began Boy Scouts this month after his birthday. He's happy to be with his friends, and working on all the "big kid" stuff.
