Football Game ~ Jasen

Cahl and Tristan had a scout camp out Friday night, so I was on my own for Jasen's game this week. The kids are all so good about helping carry things to the games, so games are never really difficult. Jasen's team played the DartZone team today, and it was a great game. Neither team scored at all until our team finally punched it into the end zone with less than 3 minutes in the game, and our Cardinals won 6-0!

Football Game ~ Tristan

This week Tristan's team traveled up to Eagle for their games. The weather this week has been pretty rainy and cold everyday, and yesterday was no exception. It was cold and the wind made it miserable. For whatever reason the first game started late, and so that made the second game start extra late and didn't get over until well after dark. I was only able to watch a little less than the first half of Tristan's game, but his team lost both games. There's only one regular season game left for the middle schools, so hopefully they do alright next week and get a decent spot in the playoffs.

Football Game ~ Jasen

Jasen's game this week was a little crazy. The other team was really good, and they steamrolled us. They scored 21 points in the first quarter, and the score at halftime was 36-0. I don't know what our coaches told the boys at halftime, but he lit a fire up under them, and they rallied in the second half. Unfortunately it wasn't quite enough, and the final score was 28-46. But I am really proud that they kept their heads up, and played hard the second half. They didn't go out with a whimper and I think that's important. Jasen played starting offense today and kick return, and he recovered one kick off that bounced off of his head!

Football Game ~ Tristan

This week Tristan's game played Heritage MS, and both teams lost. I don't know the score of the A game, but the B game was close- 28-22. Tristan made several tackles, and had one sack.

Today was Brinley's first day of preschool! She has been so excited to start school for so long, and today was the big day. She took great care in getting dressed and getting her hair done this morning, and remembering her backpack. She even packed a little pack of tissues, since her nose was runny yesterday. After we dropped her brothers off at school, we had a little time so I took her to Krispy Kreme for a donut and strawberry milk. She was so happy, but was even more excited when we got to school. She had a great morning, and couldn't wait to get home and show me all the things she had made. I'm happy that she is so happy, and I think she'll have a great year in Miss Susan's preschool class.

Football Game ~ Jasen

This week Jasen's football game was really good. His team played hard, and they won 22-8. It's funny, the team they played against is the team that has a ton of the kids from our neighborhood. So it was cool that he got to see his friends and chat with them after the game.

Football Game ~ Tristan

Tristan's football game this week was at Lowell Scott MS. His teams killed it this week! The A team won 22-0, and the B team won 34-0. Tristan had quite a bit of playing time this week and made several good tackles, including sacking the quarterback! Tristan's team is wearing white, and he is number 57.

Football Game ~ Jasen

Last weekend, Jasen had his second game of the season. His team played well, but the team they played was really good. Jasen played almost the whole game, he is on offense, defense, and kick return. He recovered 3 kick returns this game, which was awesome! Even though his team lost 28-8 it was still a good game.

Football Games ~ Tristan

Tristan's first football game was last week, but because he missed so much practice while he was in Oregon, he wasn't able to play. Their first game was at Meridian Middle School, and of course, he was there with his team. W all went down and cheered on the LC! The A team played well, and won their first game of the season 19-0. The B team didn't have a game due to a scheduling mix up, but they did scrimmage against the other B team and they played well. It was fun to watch, and it looks like this will be a good season.

On the bus ride back to LCMS

Tristan's second game was a home game today, and unfortunately his team lost. They played the Sawtooth MS, and got their butts kicked 20-0 for the A team, and something close to that for the B team. I didn't get any pics of the game, but Tristan did play in the B game. He is on defense, and he did well. Hopefully after this week's loss, the teams can regroup and gain back their confidence for next week.
