In the last few weeks, the house has come a long way! The interior paint is done, doors are all hung, the vinyl and laminate flooring are both done, the electrical is finished inside and out, all of the kitchen and bathroom cabinetry and counters are done, all the plumbing is installed, the kitchen appliances are installed, the tile is in, the air conditioner is installed, the water heater is installed, the rain gutters are up, and the lot is all graded out. Things look awesome! Coming next is grouting the tile, installing carpet, finishing the baseboards, finishing the HVAC vents, and landscaping. Other than that, all that's left is the clean up and touch ups. So we should be moving in in the next 2-3 weeks.

Eagle Island

The weather has been creeping hotter, so this afternoon was perfect for going swimming at Eagle Island. The kids all had fun at the beach, and they loved going down the big water slide!

River Rats

We floated the Boise River this afternoon. The water was a little chilly, but that didn't stop all three boys from going in on the rope swing! There wasn't many people on the river, so it was really nice.

This weekend my sister in law, nephew, niece, and great nephew cam to visit from Alaska. We haven't seen them for 4 years, so it was super exciting to spend the weekend with them, and we loved getting to meet little Finley! We spent most of the time at my sister's house just hanging out and playing, or at the park. Jasen and Cahl missed the first 2 days of the visit, but it was nice when they got back from scout camp and got to spend time with everyone as well. It was a great visit, and I hope to see them again soon!

All of my parents' grandkids...

...and great grandson!

Scout Camp

Last night was Jasen's first Scout Camp as an official Boy Scout. 5 scouts, plus 1 leader and Cahl went up to Camp Morrison in McCall for an overnight stay. Everyone had a great time, except for Jasen, who ended up getting sick. He ate something that didn't agree with him, and spent Saturday morning either in the bathroom, or sleeping in the truck. But he did manage to complete over half of the stations offered, and he is looking forward to doing more scout camps.

The last week they have been busting out the work at the house. The exterior stone is done, the mantle is in, the interior trim and baseboards are almost done, the closet shelving is all done, the doors are all painted and hung, and the interior paint is done! Next up is finishing the electrical (making up all the outlets and switches), flooring, cabinets, and appliances.
