Planter Box

A few weeks ago Jasen got a custom order for a garden box from his 5th grade teacher. She wanted a style he had not attempted before, but he was determined to build it for her. He drew up the plans, and made all the decisions about how to build it, and he did a really good job on it. We took it over and helped her put it in her backyard and she was thrilled with it!

Kokanee Fishing

Yesterday Cahl had a chance to go with a friend and his son to do some Kokanee fishing. They were gone all day, and came home with about 2 dozen fish. Cahl brined and smoked his today, and they turned out SO GOOD!

Day Camp

This year was Hunter's first cub scout Day Camp. He was really looking forward to it, and so was I, since I got to go with all the scouts this year. All the boys had a ton of fun, and they earned a lot of achievements and electives towards their ranks.

Father's Day

This year for Father's Day, Cahl wanted to go up in the mountains- somewhere we hadn't been before. So we packed up a lunch, swimsuits and towels, the kids and dog and off we went. We drove several miles up past Crouch, and found a cool little hot springs right on the edge of the river. The kids had so much fun playing in the pools and doing push ups in the river. Even Mason loved wading into the warm pools!

After we swam and played for a while, we had lunch and drove farther up. We found another cool campground right on a creek with a nice little shallow area for the kids to play. Once we made it back down the mountain, we stopped for dinner in Crouch before heading home. It was a lot of fun, and now we have some great spots in mind for camping.

Dairy Days

Cahl and I took Hunter and Brinley down to the little carnival for Meridian Dairy Days. They had a lot of fun, rode all the rides and played some games.
