Weighty Issues

So about a week ago I bought myself a treadmill on craigslist. I have been wanting one for a few years now, and I started looking hard about 2 months ago. I didn't want to spend a lot, and so I waited for a good deal and got this one:

When I bought it, the guy was telling me about it. He said it's not brand new or anything but it works. And I said "as long as it kicks my butt, I don't care how new it is!" And man, it is doing just that! Which is good, because I am really motivated to lose weight and get back in shape this year.

So then tonight Cahl was visiting with our neighbor friends and they told him they were getting rid of a home gym. So guess where it is now:

That's right- at our house! How awesome is that! It is really nice, with a double station and 2 seperate 200 pound weight stacks. Now I can really get in shape. YAY!

Caught Up

Well, last week went by fast. We really didn't do too much. Tristan's scout pack had their Blue and Gold Dinner Tuesday night, and that was fun.

Cahl and Tristan went down to Arizona last weekend on a javelina hunt. What is a javelina you might ask? Well, it is this:

A small wild pig. They didn't get one. Now I don't have a pig to go along with the turkey on the wall. Bummer.

Anyway, so I have been on a bit of a cleaning spree- spring cleaning perhaps? I always seem to get a lot done when Cahl is not home. I have cleaned out closets and cabinets, under beds, toy boxes, you name it. And I have made 2 big donations to Goodwill. I am getting quite a bit crossed off my to do list, so I'm feeling pretty proud of myself.

Jasen and Tristan only have one more wrestling tournament this weekend, it is the championship. Then Tristan will be back to football, and Jasen has not yet decided what he wants to do.

Hunter is still doing well. Potty training is coming along well. It's hard when we are not home, but that will come with time. So far he's doing really well when we are home, so I am really happy about that.

Red Rock

Today we took the boys up to Red Rock for a little hike. They like to go up Lost Creek trail, so we did that. It was pretty cold out there, and snowing, so we only did the one trail. But the boys had a lot of fun, especially Hunter in the backpack!

Shoe

Tristan made an authentic Indian Moccasin for scouts today. Cahl got a scrap piece of deer hide from his friend the taxidermist, and he helped Tristan find a pattern. Then he had to shave the skin, and Tristan sewed it all together. It looks pretty good I think!

Happy Heart Day

Happy Valentine's Day! We had a nice family day at home, then Cahl and I went on a double movie date with our cousins Stacey and Andy. It was a lot of fun.
