Halloween

This year for Halloween, we painted/carved pumpkins at home, then went to Trunk or Treat at church, followed by trick or treating around the neighborhood. The older boys both went off with their friends, and the younger 2 had fun hanging out with Cahl and I.

Eagle Project

About a month ago, Jasen began working on his Eagle Scout project. He chose to do a project that would benefit his middle school- Heritage- and worked together with one of the teachers that also runs the garden club, and his project was to build and install 6 new raised garden boxes, as well as pull weeds and clean up the garden area, lay down weed fabric, and put down new gravel walking paths between the boxes. Jasen also went to multiple businesses around town, and received several hundreds of dollars worth of materials and gift cards donated. He was able to use all of the gift cards to purchase almost all of the materials needed to complete his project, as well as lunch for his volunteers. Yesterday was project day, and we started bright and early at the school- pulling weeds and clearing the area for the new boxes. Once the area was cleared and leveled, he brought in the new boxes that we had built in advance and filled them with soil. Then he staked down weed fabric between all the boxes, and covered it with new gravel for walking paths. It took a total of about 4 hours, which was much faster than we had anticipated, and he had almost 30 people show up and volunteer! It was awesome to see his project come together, and to see the finished product!

Husky Howl

The middle school threw their annual Husky Howl, and we took the whole family over to check it out. Jasen has been in a Stagecraft class this semester, and the drama department was putting on some plays for everyone. So we went and watched the plays, and supported Jasen while he ran the light board. He's really been enjoying that class, and it was fun to see what he has been working on.

Lost Tooth

Tonight Brinley lost another tooth! She was so excited, and even left a note for the Tooth Fairy!

Football Banquet

Tonight was Tristan's football end of the season banquet. It was so nice to visit with the other parents and the coaches. It was also nice to see the boys recognized for all their hard work this season.
