BOO!

We did our pumpkins last night. This year Tristan and Jasen each designed and carved their own.

Then we went down to Trunk or Treat tonight. The boys had a blast as always! They got tons of candy and had fun with their friends.

Here we go again!

This winter season Tristan wants to wrestle. So we signed him up to be on Team Vegas, a youth wrestling team that is big enough they practice at two high schools. He went to his first practice last night, and so far he seems to like it. One of his friends from football is also going to wrestle this winter, but on a different team closer to his house. So it's cool they'll get to see each other at meets and whatnot.

Nationals

This weekend were the Silver State National BMX races. Tristan went out Saturday and rode hard. He came away with this:

a 3 foot tall 3rd place trophy! He placed 3rd in the nation for his age group! Sweet! Today was also a national race, and he took 4th place. They didn't give out trophies today, but he did get a plaque. So he's doing really well, and most importantly he's having so much fun. We have a big group of friends at the tracks now, so in between races we all sit around and bs and the kids run around and play. So it's been really fun for the whole family. We are starting to look forward to some road trips this season for the races.

Happy Birthday...

... to my niece Paige! She turned the big 2 today. We love you Paige! Hope you had a wonderful day, and we wish we could have been there.

... to Cahl's grandma Betty! She turned 80 years old today. The family had a nice surprise dinner for her at Cahl's uncle Mike's house. I was glad we got to stop by on our way home from the games. Happy Birthday Grandma! We love you!

Panthers vs. Raiders

The Panthers played the Raiders today, and once again they won 33-0. Tristan has lost his spot as starting center, he now plays on the defensive line and as backup center. It was a little hard to get used to at first, but I also realize that he has been starting center for 2 solid years. And I think even though he was bummed at first to lose it, he is also happy to play defense. He has really wanted to for such a long time, and never had many opportunities. So I think it will be a nice change.

Soccer

Jasen's soccer game went well again today. His team won 4-0. He's a lot more into playing this season than some of the past seasons. So that's good, and it's a little funner to be there when he's enjoying it. Sorry no pictures again. Today was my snack day, and I was more worried about remembering the snacks than the camera!

Skate Park

We took the boys up to a little skate park today. Jasen is doing awesome dropping in, and also coming up out of the bowl. He was terrified at first, but there was another little 5 year old boy there who showed him how to do it. Once he got the hang of it, he was flying! Tristan is still a little nervous about it, but I'm sure he'll get the hang of it soon. Hunter took his scooter and his new helmet, and had a blast scooting around.

Well, today Tristan did not have a game, so him and Cahl went to 2 bike races. He took 3rd at the first one, and 2nd at the next one.

Jasen did have a soccer game today. He did awesome! He kicked the ball several times, and his team won 2-0.

Pumpkin Patch

Cahl's aunt Kathy told us about this pumpkin patch that is not too far from our house, so we took the boys up there this morning. It is awesome! It is a huge orchard, vegetable garden and pumpkin patch. They have tons of fruit trees, melons, pumpkins, and gourds of all sorts. The boys had a blast each picking out a pumpkin and then walking through the rows of fruit trees. They thought it was so cool that some of the pumpkins were still green. We also bought some apple cider on the way out, and I can't wait to try it!

Panthers vs. Wildcats

Today was picture day for the Panthers. They did the team pictures and individuals, and also sibling group pictures. They all turned out really good. These are just a few we took:

After pictures were over, it was game time. They played the Wildcats today, and won 34-0. Wow. Every week I am a little more surprised at how well our boys play. They all get along really well together, on and off the field. And they play together really well too. They are not just teammates, but also friends. And that is why I love this team so much!

GOAL!

Jasen's soccer team had a game today, and they won, 3-0. They all did really well, and played hard. Jasen took a ball to the face, but he went back out and kept on playing! The weather was nasty today, windy and cold, but they did a great job.

My job is officially o-v-e-r. I am once again a stay at home mom, and I am so happy. I feel like I am back where I belong doing what I love most. Hooray!

Soccer

DISCLAIMER: The following 3 posts do not have any photos because someone (mom) was rushed out of the house at 7:30am 2 days in a row and forgot the camera. My apologies. And now on to the good stuff...


Jasen's first soccer game was yesterday. His team played really well together, even though they lost 1-0. Jasen was right up in the middle of everything most of the game, and also played goalie a few times. So he's really happy about soccer.

Panthers vs. Chargers

Tristan's team played the Chargers yesterday and what a blowout! But first, a little history lesson... The Chargers are a relatively new team to our league. Most of their players are small and brand new. So our team wanted to go a little easy on them. We put most of our best offensive players on defense and let a lot of kids run the ball. Tristan played defense a bunch and he even sacked the quarterback. To put it plainly, we didn't really try very hard to win. And the final score was 41-0 for the Panthers. So we are now 3-0 for the season.

State Championship

The NBL BMX State Championship races were this weekend. We went out and raced Friday night. The boys each did really well. Saturday was the football and soccer games, so we only went out first thing in the morning to have their pictures done for their plaques. They didn't race at all on Saturday. Today was the final championship race. Both boys went out and raced hard. Tristan took 2nd, and Jasen was 6th. But they had fun hanging out with their friends and so did we.
