Food Fan

Hunter has been working hard on an invention for his GT class, and he came up with the Food Fan- a fan that attaches to your spoon so that you don't burn your mouth on hot food. Well, of course he had to test out his prototype! It works like a champ!

San Diego and Yuma

Cahl had to travel to Yuma this week for work, so it worked out for him to fly in and out of San Diego and drive to Yuma and back. He was able to spend some time in Coronado on the first day, then stopped at a rock castle on the way back, and La Jolla beach before heading home.

Bring Your Kids to Work

Today was Bring Your Kids to Work day, and since Cahl is out of town this week, Hunter and Brinley decided to work with me, including a business lunch!

Court of Honor

Tristan and Jasen had their Court of Honor this evening. Tristan earned his Denali award for Varsity Scouts, and Jasen earned his Genealogy and Geocaching merit badges. They both also recieved their Duty to God awards.

School Picnic

Every few months the elementary school has a Subway lunch day, where the kids and parents can get a Subway box lunch, and a portion of the proceeds go back to the school. The kids sign up for it every time, and I sign up when I can too. It's super fun t go have a picnic lunch with them! Brinley ate and took off to play with her friends, but Hunter and his friend hung out to eat with me :)

Scout Campout

The scouts had another campout last night, and a great time was had by all! They went down to Celebration Park, and camped among the giant boulders. Then in the morning they did a hieroglyph hike, and had a chance to throw the Atl Atls.

Movie with Mom

The elementary school had their annual Movie with Mom tonight, so Hunter, Brinley and I went and watched Trolls. They had a great time hanging out with their friends!

Pack Night

Hunter's monthly pack night was tonight, and he continues to make progress and earn pins toward his Webelo!

Easter

Easter was awesome as usual, spent with our family in Vegas. Almost everyone was able to come, and it was so nice to see everyone.

Grand Canyon

We made arrangements with Cahl's cousin's family to caravan down to the Grand Canyon today. We got up and left bright and early, and drove to Williams Arizona, where we caught a train up to the canyon. The ride was just over 2 hours, and then we spent about 4 hours walking along the south rim of the canyon before riding the train back to Williams. We then had dinner and drove back to Vegas. It was a lot of fun, and the kids had a blast! It made for a very long day, but it was so worth it!
