Tonight Jasen and his girlfriend went to their second prom, this time hosted by her group of friends. They had a fantastic time, and really loved driving Cahl's mom's Volkswagen, which just so happened to match her dress!
Track Meet
Hunter's last track meet of this season was tonight, and Cahl and I made it in the nick of time. We were a few minutes late, so we missed Hunter's shot-put throw, but we did get to see him throw the discus. He set 2 new PR's tonight, with 68 feet for discus and 26 feet with the shot! We have loved watching him try something new, and he enjoyed it so much he's already looking forward to trying again next year!
Dance Recital
Tonight was Brinley's dance recital to end this season. Her team opened the show with Take Me Out to the Ballgame, then performed What a Man Gotta Do halfway through, and closed the show with Hall of Fame, which is a new lyrical dance that they just learned over the last month or so. They did such a amazing job with it! Lyrical is a new style for them, since they have focused on hip-hop for the last few years, and it was so beautiful to see them try something new!
Prom #1
Track Meet
This week's track meet was at Rocky Mountain, and hosted Sawtooth Middle, Meridian Middle, and Heritage. Both of Heritage's teams won again, and Hunter's throwing continues to improve.
Seattle
This week Cahl had to make his monthly trip over to Washington, and I was able to tag along. We spent Sunday in Seattle, exploring Pike Market, the original Starbucks, had a delicious breakfast at Lowell's overlooking the sound, went to the top of the Space Needle and checked out the Museum of Pop and Gas Works Park. I had never been to Seattle before, so everything was super cool! I loved the market, and Cahl even found some lychee fruit!
ISU Graduation
Today was a big day for our family- Jasen graduated from Idaho State University! He still has to finish his classes for another month, but as soon as school gets out, he'll be the proud new holder of an Associate of Art degree, in General Studies! We are so proud of him, and so excited for his future!
