Spring Break
We had an awesome spring break this year. Cahl, Hunter, Brinley and I loaded up Tuesday morning and set out for Leavenworth Washington. Once we got there, we spent some time checking out the fish hatchery and Cahl's projects, then spent the evening downtown. The kids really loved seeing what Cahl works on, and they especially loved the town and all the shops.
Wednesday morning we made our way over to Cle Elum, and took a tour of the fish helix that Cahl has been working on for years. It is an amazing structure, and we were lucky to get to go down inside and see all of the different areas.
After Cle Elum, we stopped by one last project before making our way over to Seattle. We found our rental house, and spent a relaxing evening down at Alki Beach. Then we met up with our fiends that we shared the house with, and just played games and visited.
Thursday morning we all loaded up and headed downtown. The first stop was Pike's Market, followed by the gum wall, Ferris wheel and aquarium. After all that, we rented some scooters and scooted over to the Space Needle. Brinley was definitely nervous about being at the top, but she made her way out to look, and by the end she was really happy to see it all. The night was spent at the house, eating, playing, and visiting.
Friday morning I was sick, so while I stayed in bed, the rest of the crew went over to check out MoPop- the museum of pop culture. The kids really loved it, and in the afternoon we caught a ferry over to Southworth and Vashon Island. That evening we enjoyed fish and chi[s on the beach, and hot showers!
