This afternoon was Hunter's first track meet of the season, and since he's our first kid to ever do track and field, it was our first track meet ever! Hunter decided on a whim a few weeks ago to do track and field with his friend this spring, and it's been so fun to watch him try something new. He has chosen to throw shot put and discus, and so far he really enjoys it. This week the meet was at Eagle High School, and hosted Eagle Middle, Victory Middle, and Heritage.
Dance Competition- Spotlight
Tonight was Brinley's last competition of the season, and it was a doozy. Our team wasn't scheduled to arrive and check in until 9pm, and wasn't scheduled to go on stage until 10:15 and 10:40! It was so late, but the girls had so much energy, and they danced the best they ever have! Brinley's team won Diamond for each of their dances, which ranks higher than first place! One of their routines also won 1st place overall in their category for the entire competition! The girls have been through a lot over the last year, with cancelled shows and coaching changes, but they have continued to work hard, and proved that they can work together and make magic happen! I am so proud of them, and can't wait to see what they'll do next!
Signing Day
Hunter is all registered to pay football at Rocky Mountain in the fall, and at tonight's registration meeting they had a mini signing day for the boys. They each got to put on a jersey and sign their intent to play. It was a really cute idea, and the boys loved it!
Easter and Birthday
This year Brinley's birthday fell on Easter for the first time since she was born, and she was so excited! We had a crepe breakfast, followed by an egg hunt in the backyard. Then for dinner she chose Hook and Reel, with cupcakes and present after.
