Spring Break and Dance Competition- Starpower

This year's spring break was pretty lowkey. We had a couple of days at home, then headed down to Vegas on Wednesday. Wednesday evening Cahl and Brinley took me out to dinner for my birthday, along with his cousin's family, and it was perfect! Thursday while Cahl was working at Mammoth, Brinley and I went and did a little shopping. We found her a prom dress, so that was exciting! Friday we headed out early to drive down to Phoenix, and we went to lunch at my cousin's house. We met up with 2 of my cousins, 2 of their kids, and my aunt, and it was so nice to see and visit with them.

Friday evening after we checked into our hotel, we went over to the performing art center to watch and support 2 of Brinley's teammates who had solos, and they both did great. Saturday we spent pretty much all day at the center, and Brinley's team did awesome! Their Jazz placed 5 stars, 1st place, and 9th overall. Their Hip Hop placed 5 star premier, 1st in category, and 4th overall.

Sunday morning we got up and hit the road early, and got home right around 8pm. It was a whirlwind weekend, but it was a lot of fun and the competition was great!

Dance Competition- Dance Fierce

This weekend was also Brinley's 2nd competition of the season. Hip Hop scored Red, 4th in their category, and a Judge's Choice award for being Fiercely Entertaining. Jazz also scored Red, and 3rd in their category.

Pig Hunt

This weekend Cahl put on a pig hunt, and invited all of the boys/men in his family to come. Only his cousin Mikey and his son Vandal, and another nephew Braxton were able to come this time, but it turned out great! Cahl, Jasen, Hunter, Mikey, Vandal, and Braxton, along with several of Cahl's friends from work, all went out and got 9 pigs all together. Cahl, Jasen, Hunter, and Vandal each got a pig, and both of the boys had an awesome time helping with the skinning. They're excited for us to bring them the pork in a few weeks!

After the hunt, Cahl took the 2 boys down to the Sportsman's show, and it was the perfect way to burn off the last of their energy before they crashed hard!
