Happy Christmas!

Christmas this year was wonderful, especially since Tristan got to come home! We had a nice family morning opening gifts, followed by naps and dinner!

Sledding

This year for our annual Christmas Eve sledding Tristan and Hunter each brought a friend, and everyone had so much fun! Once we were done, we came home, had pizza and watched our Christmas movie.

Holiday Block Leave

We have all been so excited, because Tristan got to come home for Christmas break! He got here today, and gets to spend 2 weeks before he has to head back to school.

Band Concert

Brinley's busy week continued with her band class's winter performance. They performed 2 songs- a holiday medley and Up on the Rooftop, and did so great at both! It was super fun to go see her play, and I'm excited for the upcoming concerts!

Birthday Time!

Hunter turned 15 yesterday, and we were so excited to take him out and celebrate him tonight! He chose dinner at Texas Roadhouse, followed by cake and presents at home.

Dance Recital

Tonight was Brinley's winter dance recital, "I've Got the Music in Me." The competitive teams opened the show, and did a fun medley of different dances! The show was super cute as always, and we are looking forward to competing this spring!

Wrestling Meet vs Star

Tonight was the last wrestling match of the season for Brinley, and while she never won a match, she enjoyed herself and learned an awful lot, and says she wants to wrestle again next year!

Wresting Meet vs Lowell Scott

Tonight Brinley's school took on Lowell Scott Middle School, and she fought hard but ended with another loss.

Viva Las Vegas

Cahl surprised me a few months ago with tickets to see Reba and Brooks & Dunn in concert in Vegas this weekend, and since Hunter and Brinley had a 3 day weekend from school, we headed down a few days early and stopped at Stacey and Andy's for the night on our way. We loved getting to see their amazing Christmas village, and finally bring Stacey her blown glass bowls that we made last summer!

Friday we drove on down to Vegas, and had dinner with Dan and Rita, followed by gingerbread houses with Jeremy and Frank. It was so much fun to visit with everyone, and the houses all turned out so cute!

Saturday morning we met up with Kathy, Kelcie and the kids for breakfast, then headed back to the house to relax and let the kids play all day. They had a blast with their cousins, and we had such a wonderful day relaxing and catching up.

Saturday night Cahl and I went to the Colosseum for the show, and it was so good! Cahl got us amazing seats, and I loved every second of it (minus the drunk girl in front of me)! I loved how they did so many songs together, but then also had time for themselves as well.

Sunday morning we headed home, stopping by to see Jim at his house in Panaca on the way. It was a whirlwind weekend, but so worth it!
