We happened to have a free Saturday, so we decided to spend it at the fair. The kids had a great time riding most of the rides, playing games, checking out the vintage tractors and motors, looking at all the livestock and other items. We even ended up winning 2 little goldfish, although only one survived the trip home. His name is Chaplin, and Brinley is so excited to take care of him!
Back to School
The kids went back to school today- Hunter is a sophomore at Renaissance High School, and Brinley is a 7th grader at Heritage Middle School.
Happy Birthday
We celebrated Cahl's 41st birthday today by driving up to McCall for brunch and a drive around the lake looking for huckleberries. We only found a few berries, but the drive was beautiful and on the way home we stopped and gathered some elderberries instead. They ended up being to green to do anything with, but it was still nice to spend the day together.
New Truck
Hunter Football Game vs Middleton
Tonight was the first game of the season for Hunter, and his Grizzlies killed it! Hunter is number 69, playing right guard, and every time he was in, his team scored. The final score was 56-6, and it was a great way to start the season!
New York ~ Days 3 and 4
Sunday morning we got up early and drove down to Syracuse to meet Tristan and drop off his truck, then we made our way over to Niagara Falls. We stopped at a huge flea market on the way, and got over to our hotel around lunch time. We promptly drove over to the Rainbow bridge, and walked across into Canada. We had lunch, then packed about as much as we could into the time we had- we rode a ferry up to and into Horseshoe Falls, did an underground tunnel tour and saw behind the falls, had dinner on Clifton Hill, and saw the falls lit up after dark. It was an awesome day, and the falls are really spectacular!
