March of Dimes
My sister is doing a March of Dimes walk in May up in Idaho, and I am trying to do what I can to support her. Above is the link to her page, so if you feel so inclined to, please go and help out too. This is a great cause, and it is so very important. I am going to try and see if I can find an upcoming walk here in Vegas that I can do. I will let everyone know what I find out, so anyone interested can come along.

16) What type of wedding gown/tux did you two wear? I wore a beautiful white dress and Cahl wore his Marine Corps blues
17) How was the weather? it was really nice and sunny. I wish I had known how it was going to be and we would have gotten married outside, but I was afraid it was going to rain
18) Where did you go on your Honeymoon? Nowhere, we moved to California

Monster Jam
Last night we went out to Monster Jam. Cahl gets tickets from work, so he has taken the boys every year since we have lived here. They always have so much fun. Hunter and I have also gone the last 2 years, and he loves it. He gets so excited when they do the fireworks and balloons.

Football~Rage vs Falcons
Today was Tristan's first football game for the spring season, and also his first game with his new team- the Rage. He played almost the whole game, and had some really good plays. The game was really close, pretty much tied up most of the game. But the Rage pulled it out at the end, with a 33-32 victory! A great game, and a great way to start off the season! He really likes his new team, and I am happy that his friend Nick, whom he has played with for over a year, is also on the team. And his new friend Jamie, who lives 3 doors down from us, is also on the team. So he's having a lot of fun already.

Thor
My brother in law, Thor, was photographed for the USA Networks Character Project. There is a fold out poster in the April issue of Vanity Fair with his photo, or it is also online. These are the photos of him, taken last summer in Alaska while he was oyster fishing.
Day Camp
Last week was Tristan's Boy Scout Day Camp. Thursday and Friday afternoons, and Saturday all day. He had SO much fun! It was pirate themed, and he loved it. They did archery (which he is good at, since he already has a bow and arrows), bb gun shooting (again, he's already got his own guns, and he's a really good shot. He hit the bulls eye several times!), an obstacle course, and much more. By the end of the day, he was the filthiest little boy I have ever seen! But he's really excited now because he'll be getting a bunch of new belt loops for many of the activities they did. He truly loves scouts, and I am really happy that he was able to go.
Happy Birthday...
to me! I am the big 2-5 today! Since weeknights are always a little hectic for us, Cahl and the boys gave me my presents and cake Sunday evening. I got some much needed (and wanted!) new kitchen things. Hunter got me a 4 cup measuring cup, Jasen got me a new muffin pan, and Tristan got me a new knife set.

Cahl had my blog turned into a book for me, he did all of 2008! It is so awesome! I love it!
Thanks so much to all my boys for another wonderful birthday. You guys spoil me to no end, and I love each one of you so much!
BMX Race
The boys had a national BMX race this weekend. Today Tristan took 7th overall, and Jasen did not place in his class. Jasen chose not to race again tomorrow, so we'll see how Tristan does tomorrow. They also got their pictures taken with the Olympic gold medalist, Maris Strombergs, and the NBL national champion Randy Stumpfhauser. They got their autographs when we went down to Arizona, but this time they got their pictures with them too. They are both so excited to get the photos framed and hung in their rooms!

Rest in Peace
An old friend of ours, Charlie, passed away yesterday. He and Cahl were in the Marines together, and have kept in touch since we moved here to Vegas. This is just a quick note to say, Charlie- you will forever be in our hearts! You are gone much too soon, but all I can hope is that now you are at peace. Goodbye friend.

This is the First Born Survey that I had meant to do for Tristan's birthday. Unfortunately I couldn't find it then, so I am doing it now!

2. What were your reactions? I was terrified and in complete denial. Cahl was much calmer, but I think he was a little bit terrified too

4. How did you find out you were pregnant? I took 3 pregnancy tests before I finally believed they were not lying to me
5. Who did you tell first? My friend Cassie and her then boyfriend
6. Did you want to find out the sex? No
7. Due date? January 2
8.Did you deliver early or late? He was 10 days late
9. Did you have morning sickness? Nope
10. What did you crave? Burger King fish sandwiches and ice
11. Who irritated you the most? To many to specifically recall...
12. What was your child's sex? Boy
13. How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy? around 40 (what a porker)
14. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Not a one
15.Where did you give birth? At my parents house in Salmon Idaho
16. How many hours were you in labor? 6 1/2
17. Who drove you to the hospital? I didn't go to the hospital (see number 15)
18.Who watched? My midwife (mom) and her assistant
19.Was it natural or c-section? natural
20. Did you take medicine to ease the pain? Nope

Lost... and Found
So this evening we were all sitting around watching tv while dinner cooked. We thought Hunter was asleep upstairs and so we asked Jasen to go check on him. He came back and said Hunter was not upstairs. We panicked. Cahl ran outside while I ran upstairs. After about a minute this is what I found:
Hunter had fallen asleep underneath his bed! When I found him the other bean bag chair was also in front of him and he was covered with his blanket. On the one hand terrifying, and on the other hand so sweet!
