Race

Once again, we went out to a BMX race last night. This time over at the Nellis track. The boys both did so awesome! Tristan took 1st in his class, and he was first place all 3 heats! Jasen took 2nd, and he has gotten the hang of going out of the gate completely on his own. He told Cahl that he doesn't need help anymore! We were so proud of them we stopped and got them Slurpee's on the way home!

Panthers vs. Falcons

Tristan's team played the Falcons yesterday and won again, with a final score of 35-6. They all played really well, and Tristan even played on defense. He did a great job on both sides of the ball, and we are really proud of him.

Boulder City

We went out to the Boulder City BMX track last night for the first time. The track is really nice, and the boys both really liked it. There were a ton of kids in Jasen's class, so he did not get a trophy. But I think he only wrecked once or twice on the new track, so he did really well. Tristan's class only had 4 kids, and he got 2 3rd places and in the final race he took second. So it averaged out to a 3rd place trophy, and he is proud of that. Plus it is nice because one of Tristan's friends from his football team is also a BMX racer. He is a great kid, and we have become friends with his family. It's nice to go out to the track and have people there that you know and can hang out with.

Two Weeks

I put in my two weeks notice at work today. I have really enjoyed my job for the last 4 months (some days more than others!), but I have decided that it is time for me to get back home and refocus my attention back to my family. I really want to get Hunter potty trained, and he is ready too. And I am just looking forward to having more time with my kids, and not being rushed all the time to do anything. I am excited to get caught up on everything, and maybe even start working ahead!

Panthers vs. Cowboys

Today was the first game of Tristan's football season. They played the Cowboys, and won 27-0. It was a great game, with very few mistakes. Tristan played awesome, no fumbles! They are the black team, Tristan is number 16.

Day Off

Well, today is my first Friday off. I worked it out with my boss to have a set schedule of Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off. I was starting to get a little overwhelmed, and feeling like I was going crazy not being able to get anything done. But she's really nice and understanding, and gave me what I wanted, which was Fridays off. This is only my first one, but it was nice to be able to get things done, and Hunter and I even went and had lunch with Cahl. So I think I'm going to like this schedule a lot.

Football Games and Lawn Mowers

Friday night we went out to another Palo Verde football game, against the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions. It was a good game, and the Panthers won again, with a score of 35-6. I think the main reason we go to these games is for our little players. They all sit together at the top of the stands and cheer like crazy. They love to go and watch the big players and dance with the band.

So today we spent a lazy day at home, getting caught up on homework. Tristan has taken an interest in helping mow the lawn, so he helped out with that this afternoon.

We took the boys up to Mt. Charleston yesterday for a picnic and whatnot. Buddy went with us, and everyone had a nice time just hanging out and exploring and hiking.
