Dance Competition- Spotlight

This evening was the final local dance competition for our girls this season, and they knocked it out of the park! Work earned a Diamond score, and won 1st place overall. It also won a Spotlight Award for Outstanding Entertainment. Vogue Mischief earned a Ruby score, and won 1st place in it's category. They continue to work hard week after week, and it shows!

Potomac River

This week Cahl had the opportunity to go back East to visit some dams on the Potomac River- in Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. He really enjoyed his time there, seeing all the historical sights and even walked part of the Appalachian Trail!

Temple Trip

I'm so happy that I was able to go with Hunter and Brinley this afternoon, for my first ever trip to the Temple. It was so special to be there with them, and I'm grateful I was able to be there.

Birthday Party

Last night Brinley had her birthday party, and they had so much fun! We had 10 girls total, and they loaded up on pizza, loved the unicorn poop cupcakes Cahl made, beat up a pinata, then spent hours on the trampoline, making funny videos, and giggling. 3 of them were able to stay the night as well, and they loved the aebleskivers Cahl made them for breakfast, then they had a great time helping me decorate our neighborhood park with hundreds of Easter eggs for our annual egg hunt.

Front Yard

After a few years of planning, Cahl and the boys finally reconfigured out front yard planter. We love our front planter, but wanted to extend it out to include our tree. It also reduced the weird shape and amount of grass in our front yard, which will make mowing easier. It turned out so nice, and makes Cahl smile every time he walks past it!

Happy Birthday!!

We made it back just in time to celebrate Brinley's 12th birthday! She is such a bright spot in our lives and family, and we are so grateful that she is ours! She is full of spunk and sass, and such a beautiful young lady who is funny and caring and extra special!

20th Anniversary Trip - Day 9

Sunday morning we got back to Port Canaveral and off the ship. After we picked up a car, we took the long way getting back to Orlando- stopping at some new beaches, a gigantic swap meet, and even taking an air boat tour on the St John river. We saw several big gators, and a couple of snakes, and a lot of birds. We spent the rest of the day just hanging out and getting ready to come home super early Monday morning. It was a wonderful vacation, and a perfect way to celebrate our anniversary.

20th Anniversary Trip - Days 7 & 8

Friday was another sea day, so we just relaxed. In the morning, our ship passed the Queen Mary 2, which was pretty cool.

Saturday we made it to our last stop, Coco Cay in the Bahamas. We hung out at the beach for a bit, then hopped on a ferry over to Goat Cay, to visit the swimming pigs. There were about 20 pigs around, and they were so cute and friendly! W even got to swim with them, which was really fun!

After we got back to Coco Cay, we had lunch then did some snorkeling. We saw a ton of fish, including a big sting ray, and a ship wreck. We also walked around and explored the island. Unfortunately the huge hot air balloon wasn't running, so we rode the tram back over to the ship to end the day.

That night we sailed through a storm, which wasn't bad- just a bit of wind and rain- but the lightning out in the distance was really cool to watch!
