Backyard Campout

Hunter and Brinley have been dying to campout in the backyard, and they chose tonight to make it happen. They worked together and got a tent set up with sleeping bags, books, a lantern and snacks. We also made s'mores before bed, and they had a great time!

Scout Camp

Cahl and Hunter spent this week up in McCall at Camp Morrison for Scout Camp. They had an awesome time, and Hunter earned 6 Merit Badges- Geology, Mining in Society, Canoeing, Small Boat Sailing, Camping, and Shotgun Shooting. They also did a service project of building a 200 foot fence along the Nature Trail. Hunter and several of the other boys did the Polar Bear Plunge early Thursday morning, and overall had a great week!

Garth Brooks

I have loved Garth Brooks as far back as I can remember, and when I heard he was coming to play in Boise, I knew I had to go! Cahl scored killer seats, and I took my best friend (who loves him as much as I do) for her birthday. It was so much fun, and he put on an incredible show!

Donnelly Trip

Last week my parents rented a cabin up in Donnelly, and took all of their grand and great grandkids (except Tristan- he had to work) up for a long weekend. They played at the lake, kayaked a ton, and had a great time!

Braces

Hunter has been looking forward to getting braces on for many months, and today was the big day! He is so excited to have them, and I'm happy he only needs them for a year!

4th of July

We spent a week in Salmon this year, over the week of the 4th, and it was full of work and fun. We had an awesome spot for our camper, and the boys enjoyed riding their dirtbikes around, and we loved seeing the deer everyday.

Cahl spent most of the week working on his 72 GMC truck with his dad in the shop, and Jasen and Hunter spent most of their time working on a demo derby car for Jasen. Brinley and I spent our time downtown visiting, helping my friend building a parade float, at the river, and walking through the sidewalk sales.

We also had a family picnic up William's Creek, and spent the evening of the 4th at our friend Emmett's, with his family for a BBQ and fireworks.

Friday night was Cahl's 20th High School reunion, and about half of his classmates showed up. It was so nice to see so many people, and get caught up.

Saturday brought the parade, which Jasen was so excited to drive his derby car in- and Hunter and Brinley loved riding in the back and throwing out candy! That night at the derby, Jasen drove his little car into the arena for the intro, but sadly his CV joint broke and he wasn't able to drive in the derby itself. He was disappointed, but now he knows what building a derby car takes, and he's excited to do it again!
