This year for Memorial day, we headed back up to our favorite spot about Crouch. We loved going tot he Farmer's Market and a few yard sales, and up to Silver Creek Plunge for an afternoon. Even though it rained off and on all weekend, we had a really nice time relaxing and playing in the water.
Band Concert
This evening was Brinley's final band concert of the school year, and they did a great job! They played 2 pieces, "Epic" and "Spirit of the Stallion." Brinley has really enjoyed playing the trumpet this year, and even though she's not going to continue, I'm so proud of her for learning how to play!
Campout
This month the young men had the opportunity to go on their traditional firewood campout, up by Stolle Meadows. There was a group of 10ish boys, and they had a great time gathering firewood and hiking to the hot springs.
Dance Recital
Brinley's spring dance season capped off tonight with the spring recital. The competitive girls opened the show with a super fun number called "Pop 101," then performed their routines during the show. She even got to be a background extra for a younger class, and she always loves helping the little girls and other teachers out! It was another wonderful season, and watching Brinley do what she loves makes my heart so happy!
Fishing
Today Brinley and I were able to go out on the boat with the boys at Lucky Peak, searching for Kokanee. It was rainy and chilly, but we came home with 4 nice size fish. I was even given the title of best boat driver, which might have been a pity title, but I'll take it!
Lagoon!
Brinley's dance team was invited to compete at a national competition for America on Stage at Lagoon this weekend, and it was an incredible experience! Her and I drove down Friday after school, and met my best friend, who came down from Salmon with her 2 little boys. They had so much fun swimming and soaking that night, then Saturday morning we were up and at the park when they opened.
We got all of our stuff back to our team's pavilion and situated, then it was off to the rides! Brinley split her time between hanging out with us on the smaller kid rides, and going on the huge roller coasters with her friends.
