but I happen to be married to the most a-mazing guy in the whole world! Check out what he built for us today:
Tree
Jasen and Hunter's Room
Cahl and I finally got Jasen and Hunter's room done this weekend. We went down to Lowe's last weekend, and they have all their wallpaper on clearance. So we let Jasen pick some out (skateboards) and we got some paint and all the supplies. And we got it painted and wallpapered this weekend. So their room is done now. And they both love it! Now all they need is some new bedding.
Black Friday
This year we decided to forgo the usual Black Friday madness and went hunting... for a Christmas tree. We have had a fake tree for the last 3 years (while we were renting) but decided that now that we have our own house, we wanted to get a real tree. So we loaded the boys up early this morning and drove up to Caliente. We got our tree tag and headed up the in the mountains. It wasn't long before we found the perfect tree, and down it came. After we got the tree loaded, we did some target practice with a few of the guns we had brought with us. We set some clay targets up in some far bushes, and Tristan and Jasen took some turns shooting them with a 410 shotgun and a little 22 rifle. Jasen has never been shooting before, so Cahl helped him hold the gun and aim and Jasen got to pull the trigger. He had a lot of fun. Tristan has been shooting several times before, so he can do it himself. He is a really good shot, very accurate. I was very impressed with him. Cahl and I also took a few turns tossing the clays up in the air for each other. Of course, Cahl is a great shot. I had never shot anything out of the air before, but I actually hit most all of them. After that, we headed home. We've got the tree set up now, and I will post pictures of it when we get it decorated. It was a really fun day, and I wish I had some photos to share!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Soccer Party
Floyd Lamb Park
We took the boys and Buddy up to Floyd Lamb park this morning.
They had a great time feeding the ducks and geese.
Then they stopped for a strawberry milk break
And some tree climbing
Panthers vs. Wildcats- playoffs
BMX
No pictures today, but Tristan won 1st place again in his class. And he won 3rd place in the open 7 and under class. Jasen got 2nd place in his class, amd placed 5th in the open class.
Grandma Betty
Cahl's grandma Betty fell down earlier this week and broke her leg. She had to have surgery to fix it, and now she will be in the hospital for the next several weeks as it heals. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers for a safe and speedy recovery.
Tristan's Room
Well, T's room is finally finished. It was painted a few months ago, but it took us a while to put up the finishing touches. Cahl got him a Lananian Tomlinson Fathead for his wall, which is a HUGE vinyl sticker. We put in a double bed for him, and got him new bedding last weekend. Plus his obnoxious trophy collection! So he is super stoked about it, and we are too. Now, on to Jasen and Hunter's room!
Lied Museum
My parents are in town this week, and we went over to the Lied Children's Musuem today. We haven't been there in several years, and the boys had so much fun!
Three blondies
Fight Night
BMX
Tristan and Jasen both raced today. Tristan went out this morning to the Boulder City track, and took 7th overall. That was due to a few wrecks. Tristan was in second place until he became a speedbump for some of the other kids!
Then both boys raced at the Nellis track. Tristan got 1st place! He placed 1st in every heat. Jasen took 5th in his class. He took 2nd in one heat, because of a 2 kid pileup. Then they both raced together in an open class. Tristan took 2nd overall, and Jasen took 7th.
Soccer
Jasen kicked his first goal today!! Hooray! He is so proud, and we are so proud of him. His team won 3-0.

Turkey Song
In honor of Thanksgiving being only 2 weeks away, I have put on my very favorite thanksgiving song. Enjoy!
Rebel Game
Cahl planned a date night for us last night, and he took me to my first Rebel game! The Rebels played New Mexico, and they won 27-20. I was so excited to go. I had never been to a college game before. It was so fun. We sat in the student section, right on the field. Right in front of us was the dance team, the cheerleaders, and Reb the mascot. He is so adorable when he dances! I didn't take my camera, I was afraid it would be too dark for photos. Next time I will take it, I think they would have turned out fine. But it was a really fun night, and I had a great time.
Us getting ready to go
Panthers vs. Falcons
Tristan's team played the Falcons today and won 18-7. Tristan played starting defense, and he made a ton of tackles! This was the last regular season game, and the playoffs start next week. Sorry I don't have any photos. Cahl is not a great photographer, as he is more focused on the game than snapping photos. So I took the camera to Jasen's game today.

Daylight Savings...
...sucks! I just wanted to take an opportunity to tell everyone that I despise Daylight Savings! Hunter has been waking up around 5:30 every morning since we "gained" an hour. And because he's getting up before it's even light out, it makes the rest of the day de-lightful! He's an absolute grump by 10:30, but at least he goes down for a 3 hour nap at 11:30. Case in point:

He fell asleep during lunch! And now bedtime is all messed up too. He's exhausted by 7, which is usually when I am at one practice or another. I don't know about anyone else, but I hate Daylight Savings. I have no idea why we are some of the only time zones on the PLANET to still insist on changing our clocks twice a year. It's stupid. I haven't "gained" a darn thing this week. Except for bags under my eyes and a 7:30am trip to Walmart.
