Tristan has to read 15 minutes per night for his homework, and so far Hunter is thoroughly enjoying it!
Project
Last weekend our project was recovering a set of folding chairs. We have had this set for about 4 years, and we really don't use it very often. But it is great for when company comes over and whatnot. So last year we loaned them to some friends for a weekend, which was fine. But then Cahl picked them up and left them in the back of his truck for weeks in the sun and wind and rain, unbeknownst to me. By the time I found them, they were pretty much falling apart. So... it's been really embarrassing having to pull them out for company lately, and needless to say, I have been wanting to recover them for quite some time now, and just haven't had a chance. So last weekend we went down to the fabric store and picked out some fabric, and over the weekend we recovered our little set of chairs. I am quite pleased with the results! And most importantly, not embarrassed to show them to anyone anymore!

Watermelon
Last night we had some of our friends over for dinner, and before we ate the kids had a watermelon eating contest. They went to town, and it was so funny to watch them! They had so much fun seeing who could get the messiest!
After the contest, all the kids piled onto the trampoline and had fun wrestling each other while they waited for dinner to cook. It was a lot of fun, and we can't wait to do it again!

We have some news: our family is about to get one person bigger! Baby number 4 is expected the end of March, and we are all very excited!

Today was Jasen's kindergarten graduation. His class sang all of the parents 6 songs, and then they received their diplomas and report cards. It was so sweet, during the last song they sang, called "Time to Go," Jasen started crying. Which of course made me and his teacher cry too! He was very sad to leave kindergarten behind, but he is also happy to be going on to 1st grade!

Tristan's end of the year award ceremony was this morning. Kids in grades 1-4 got individual awards for things they have achieved and earned during the last trimester and also throughout the school year. Tristan was awarded 2 attendance awards, one for perfect attendance during the trimester, and one is the Governor's Award for perfect attendance for the entire year. He was thrilled!
