Dance Recital

Tonight was Brinley's first dance recital! She loves dance so much, and she was so excited about the performance. It is so fun for me, since I was in dance for so many years growing up, and Cahl loves that Brinley is in dance too. The recital was awesome, and all of the dancers did great. Brinley's class had 2 dances- ballet to "Scales and Arpeggios" from The Aristocats, and tap to "A Spoonful of Sugar" from Mary Poppins. She was fabulous, of course, and we are so proud of her!

House- Second Floor

Well, the second floor and the roof of the new house are done. The glass sliding door is in, as well as the three other exterior doors. The windows that were delivered were wrong. So new windows have been ordered, and they are up next, along with plumbing, gas, hvac, and electrical.

Pack Night

Last night was Jasen's scout Pack Night. It was a big night for him, and he brought home a ton of awards this month. He earned his: Engineer, Craftsman, Geologist, Communicator, Traveler, and Forester pins. He also earned 2 compass points, the Leave No Trace Award and the World Conservation Award. It was also a special night, since it was his Arrow of Light ceremony as well. Most Arrow of Light's are done about the time the boys turn 11 and graduate out of Cub Scouts and into Boy Scouts, so oftentimes the leaders ask a few older boy scouts to help present the award, and welcome the boys into the Boy Scout troop. Tristan was one of the older boys asked this time, and it was sweet that he got to be a part of Jasen's ceremony.

 

Hike/Camp

Last night, Cahl, Tristan and Jasen went on a scout hike/ overnight camp. They went up above Arrowrock Reservoir, and hiked almost 2 miles to where they camped. Then this morning they hiked another mile or so up, while playing around, before they packed up and hiked out. They all had a great time, and I'm happy Jasen is starting to get to go more. He really loves it!

 

House- First Floor

Well, the house is coming right along. After the footings got poured, pouring the concrete for the garage floor, driveway, and walkway got delayed for 3 days due to the rain. But once the weather cleared up, things started hopping. They got the first floor framed out and finished in just a few days.
