Camp Meriwether

Last year, Cahl and another dad wanted to do something different for their boys for scout camp this year. They decided on Camp Meriwether, which is located about 9 hours away- right on the Oregon coast. They ended up with a group of 18 boys and 4 dads registered to go, and as a group they worked their butts off planning and fundraising for their trip. They did yard clean ups in the fall, hung flyers around neighborhoods, sold hot chocolate and treats at a Christmas light show, and held a HUGE yard sale. In total, they raised $10 thousand dollars to send all 22 of them all expenses paid to camp for a week! They just got back, and had the best time ever! I'm so proud of all their hard work and determination on making this trip happen, and I'm so happy that they were able to go! They spent the week kayaking in Tillamook Bay, sand boarding, making giant sand sculptures, snorkeling, doing the Polar Bear Plunge, and so much more!

Pack Night

Tonight for Hunter's pack night, they had a science experiment theme. Hunter brought home more belt loops, and had so much fun helping with the science experiments!

Swimming

This summer Hunter and Brinley are both taking swim lessons. They are both doing so well, and I'm so happy we found our swim instructor last year. She and her teachers are great, and my kids are really progressing each week.

Mustang

Tristan's dream car is an old Mustang, and Cahl's stepdad just happened to find a 1964 1/2 sitting in someone's backyard. So we bought it, and Tristan spent 2 weeks in Salmon working with Jim to restore it. They put so much work into it in such a short time, and it turned out great! There's still a lot to do, but Tristan is in heaven!

4th of July

Since Cahl and Jasen went up to Salmon for the weekend, to help finish Tristan's car and bring it back, Hunter, Brinley and I spent the day at a friend's birthday party then went and watched the fireworks with some other friends. Cahl and the older boys ended up watching the fireworks in Stanley on their way home. It was a fun day, and everyone finally got home around midnight.
