Last night was the 11 Year Old scout campout up at Camp Morrison. Hunter was so excited to go, and even more excited that his best friend Dalton was able to go too. They had a ton of fun doing the classes, and loved the archery.
Black and Purple
Tonight was the Black and Purple- the kickoff of Tristan's football season. His school scrimmaged against 6 other schools, and they played well. It looks like we should have a great season ahead of us!
Bathroom
A few days ago as I was cleaning our master bathroom, I noticed the floor around the toilet was squishy, so Cahl tore it up to find that our toilet was not sealed properly on the pipe underneath it, and water had been leaking into the floor for who knows how long and rotting the wood. So out came half of the flooring, the insulation, and the pipe. It all got bleached and dried out, then replaced and painted. It was a pain in the butt, but i'm so happy that we caught it when we did, and it hadn't spread into or under the back wall or into the kitchen ceiling!
Lucky Peak Campout
The scouts headed up to Lucky Peak for their annual boating campout last night. They had a blast boating, kayaking, swimming and cliff jumping.
Education Week
This week while the kids were off at grandma's, I had the opportunity to spend a few days in Rexburg and attend Education Week at BYU-I with some girl friends. The classes were awesome, the company was awesome, and it was such a fun and much needed trip, and I'm so happy that I was able to go!
While I was away, Cahl kept himself busy doing an electrical project on the back patio. He installed a fan and 2 overhead lights on the patio cover, a new light by the door, an outlet for additional decorative lighting, and flood lights into the yard. It turned out awesome, and it just what we had been envisioning!
