Jamboree

Today we kicked off Hunter's football season at the Jamboree. This year his team has 11 returning players, and 9 new players. They've been practicing hard for 2 weeks, and it was nice to see them scrimmage another team. Even though they didn't win, they looked good and are excited for the season! It's also pretty cool that Hunter is playing center sometimes this season, and he reminds me of when Tristan was his age and played center :)

Back to School

The kids all went back to school today. This year is definitely bittersweet and full of firsts and emotions for me, since Brinley is by herself for the first time, Hunter has moved on to the middle school, and Tristan is in his last year.

Brinley is a 3rd Grader at Prospect Elementary, and she is so excited to have Hunter's old teacher, Mr. Gentilman.

Hunter is a 6th Grader at Heritage Middle School, and he cannot wait to take the STEM and engineering classes. He is also stoked to have been selected at a lunch worker, which means he gets free lunch and gets paid every day!

Jasen is a sophomore at Renaissance High School, and he is so proud to be driving himself! He also worked hard and took a class over the summer, so he is just a little bit closer to graduation.

Tristan is now a senior at Rocky Mountain High School. He has also worked hard of the last few years, and earned enough credits to have release time each semester. He is still looking at and weighing all of his options for next year, but he is leaning toward mechanic school. Either way, we are very proud of him, and excited for his future!

Birthday

Happy Birthday Cahl! After a busy work and practice day, we celebrated with cake and gifts! Here's to a great year!

Fair

This afternoon Cahl and I decided to take just Hunter and Brinley to the Western Idaho State Fair. Jasen went later in the evening with a group of friends, and Tristan has plans to go with his friends in a few days. It was so much fun to watch them go on the rides together and walk through all the livestock barns. They especially loved meeting Harley- Idaho's biggest pig, and Idaho' smallest horse! The sky tram was also really cool, and totally worth it!

Dirt Bike

We bought a little dirt bike for my nephew, and Brinley was so excited to try it out. She had a blast zipping around the backyard until she crashed into the fence and garden boxes. But it didn't stop her from getting back on! Looks like we're going to need to keep and eye out for one her size :)
