Hunter was assigned a boat building project in one of his classes, and he rocked it! He had a great time putting it together, and it turned out so great!
Dog House
We have a huge closet under our stairs, so we decided to turn half of it into a built in dog house for Rebel and Tyson. It turned out great, complete with a built in pocket door and their names, and they love it! And the best part is that we still have a big closet!
Adulting
This morning at 6:05am, our oldest son Tristan became an adult. How does that even happen?? It truly feels like just yesterday we were anxiously picking out names and a crib with Winnie the Pooh bedding, waiting for him to come- not knowing if he was a he or she. He was instantly my little buddy- always by my side. He made being a mom easy! Then before we knew it, Cahl and I were getting married with Tristan right beside us in his little suit, refusing to walk me down the isle because it was nap time. Then packing up and moving to Southern California, going on new adventures and making new friends- Alexa, his first girlfriend lived right next door! Getting so excited to be a big brother, and carrying around his own baby for months. Strapping it gently into his Power Wheels jeep and driving it around the neighborhood. It was hard when it came time to say goodbye to Cahl when he was deployed- but Tristan would proudly tell everyone he met that his daddy was a Marine in Kuwait and Iraq! Going to the post office to mail packages to Cahl was Tristan's favorite thing to do! From the day he became a big brother- he has been the best one there ever was. He is not perfect at it, and sometimes there are squabbles, but Tristan would do anything for his brothers and sister, and that makes him perfect for us. Tristan has always made things like moving easy. He is so helpful, acclimates to new schools and makes new friends easily. Everywhere we go, people know him, and people are always telling me how much they love Gouker. He is not afraid of attention, or to look silly or put on a show. He loves to make others laugh, and he is always doing little things for others.
Tristan- I love you more than you'll ever know, and I am so proud of you. Stay true to you and anything is possible!

New Puppy
Cahl and I have been together for almost 20 years, and for as long as I've known him, one of his dreams has always been to have an English Mastiff. Tonight his dream came true when we made a trek out to Nampa to pick up Lord Tyson- our brand new, 11 week old English Mastiff pup. He is super cute- all wrinkles and elbows, wobbly and awkward, and super sweet! Cahl couldn't be happier!
Cheer Clinic
The cheerleaders and dance team at the high school put on a cheer clinic again this winter break, and Brinley was so excited to do it again! She loves going to the clinics and getting to know the cheerleaders and dancers, especially since they almost all know Tristan! This time they got to perform their cheers and dances during halftime of a JV Basketball game, so that was pretty cool!
