Vacation Day 5

The first stop on our cruise was at Amber Cove, in the Dominican Republic. There is something so awesome about waking up in the morning, and watching an island come into view from a balcony. That is by far my favorite part of cruising! Once we got into the port, we had about an hour to explore before hopping on a bus to a resort, where we spent most of the day. The port was super cool, with waterfalls, artwork, and pools with slides. The resort was also so nice- not crowded at all and so relaxing. It was right on the beach, but also had a huge swimming pool and restaurant. Brinley got her hair braided first thing, since that's what she was most excited to do on our trip! And we had the most delicious seafood paella, made fresh from the morning's catch! 

Vacation Days 3 and 4

Day 3 we got up bright and early and headed over to catch a ride on the cruise ship. The embarkation process was super smooth, and we were checked in and lounging poolside in less than an hour- with everyone rocking their surprise, custom made shirts!  We spent the rest of that day, and the next,  getting acquainted with the ship and just hanging out and playing while we made our way south to our first stop. The second night was also formal night for dinner, and we all had fun dressing up!

Vacation! Days 1 and 2

The day finally came for us to leave for our winter vacation to Orlando, and a cruise, and we were all so excited! We spent day 1 travelling from Boise to Denver and on to Orlando, and once we got there, we picked up a car and drove to Cocoa Beach. We had a relaxing night playing on the beach and swimming, and it was a great start to our trip!

We spent day 2 at Kennedy Space Center, which the kids were super excited about- especially Hunter! It was so much fun to go through all the exhibits and do the bus tour with them, and we ended the day with the most amazing sunset on the beach.

Eagle Court of Honor

Tonight we held an Eagle Court of Honor for Hunter and his friend CJ. They both had a lot of friends and family come out to support them, and it was so nice to celebrate them and what they accomplished as Scouts. He gave his mentor pin to Mike Luna, who was his first cub scout leader, and has also been one of his scout leaders for the last few years.
