This afternoon was Hunter's football game against Sawtooth Middle School. Since the air quality was so bad, the A team played and won their game, but the B team was only able to play for one quarter. The score at the end was Sawtooth 6, Heritage 0, and the boys were pretty bummed that they didn't get a full game, but here's to hoping the air clears up by next week.
Hunter Football Game vs Star
Hunter had his first football game of the year this afternoon, against Star Middle School. They played so well, and won 26-0. This year Hunter is starting O and D line, as well as Kick Return, and he is so excited to be back in his happy place!
School Days
With all of the craziness going on, our school district pushed back the beginning of this school year by 2 weeks. But the kids were finally able to go back to school today, although they will be all online for at least this first week.
Brinley is now in her final year at Prospect Elementary, starting 5th grade in Mrs. Leininger's class. She and I are both so happy that she has the same teacher that Hunter had- since she's great and our family loves her! It's a little weird that this will be our family's last year at an elementary school- it's the end of an era!
Hunter is starting his last year at Heritage Middle school, as an 8th grader. So far he's really happy with his classes, and so excited to play football again this year.
Jasen is now a Senior at Renaissance High School, and finishing up both his high school career, as well as his Associate's Degree program. He is still undecided about his future plans, but leaning toward attending Boise State for his Bachelor's Degree. Either way, we are very proud of his hard work and dedication to his education!
Happy Birthday!
Today we celebrated Cahl's 39th birthday. We took him to dinner at Hook & Reel with his mom and aunt and uncle from Colorado, followed by cake and presents.
Blue Lake and Floating
This weekend we had some friends come up from California to visit, and it was so nice to see them! Saturday Cahl and Hunter took them on a hike to Blue Lake, and they loved the scenery and swimming. Sunday night we had a BBQ here at the house, and we spent all day Monday floating the Cabarton run of the Payette River, followed by dinner in McCall. It was an awesome day, and I hope we can do it again next summer!
