Orchard

For this weekend's family field trip, we took the kids out to Gilcrease. They had so much fun running up and down the rows, picking apples, tomatoes and other veggies. All in all, they picked 29 apples, 19 tomatoes, a big bowl of carrots, 2 peppers, 2 cucumbers, 2 zucchini, 1 peach and 1 sunburst squash. They were so excited, and had so much fun washing and counting everything. They also made a big salad with their veggies, and Cahl even made apple pie filling. They had a great time, and can't wait to go back and get more!

Football Party

Tristan and Jasen's end-of-season football party was last night. Our team rented an entire pool, lifeguards and all, and the kids had so much fun! All 3 of the teams were there, and it was nice to see everyone again after a few months off. Brinley loved the pool! Once she got in, we could hardly keep her out. Tristan and Jasen spent all their time going back and forth between the slide and the diving board, and I didn't really get any good pictures of them, but Hunter stayed in the shallow end and had a blast! He is doing so phenomenal in the pool compared to last year. He loves to swim, and even does bobs now! Then of course, after a few hours it was trophy time. Jasen and Tristan both got huge trophies, and they are so proud!

Bass Pro

For this weekend's family fun day, we took the kids out to Bass Pro. We used to go there constantly, but since we live way across town now, we don't make it out there very often. All 3 boys received Bass Pro gift cards last Christmas and for their birthdays, so we decided that it was time for them to go shopping. Each boy picked out a slingshot, and then they combined their money for an ice cream maker! We have been talking about getting one for a few weeks, and we found the perfect one there. We were all pretty excited about it, so on the way home we stopped at the grocery store and got all the things we'd need to make ice cream. They wanted mint chocolate, and it turned out SO GOOD! Cahl also made strawberry, and it was good too. I think that is going to be a great thing to have during the summer, especially here! I just wish I had taken some pictures of it, but next time.

Potty

Brinley found the potty chair and decided to try it out. She didn't go, and I don't think she has a clue what it's for, but she LOVED sitting on it!

Springs Preserve

We took the kids down to the Springs Preserve today. We hadn't been there for a few months, and they had some new stuff going on. We watched a show about venomous snakes found in the desert, and then watched the zoologists feed the reptiles on display. They also had a new Tree exhibit which was pretty cool. And the boys also traded in some rocks at the Nature Exchange, which they love to do.
