I signed our family up for a bowling program this summer. It gets each of us 2 free games of bowling per day, and it was super cheap for us to do. It's nice that it's something the kids all enjoy, and it's really close to the house. So today, Cahl was working from home, and we decided to go bowling. We all had a good time, and as usual I got my butt kicked by everyone. But they love it, and I don't mind a bit.
Staples
Today was an exciting day. Jasen decided to kick off his summer break by getting staples in the back of his head. Him and Tristan were at the neighborhood pool with their friends, and while they were playing and pushing each other in, Jasen got pushed in and hit his head on the side of the pool. So I got a call from Tristan, and their friends' dad, saying that Jasen hit his head and was bleeding and might need to go in for stitches. So we took him in, and sure enough he needed to be put back together. 6 staples later and an ice cream cone later, he was on his way home. He's been a trooped about it, no crying or complaining at all. And luckily the staples only have to stay in for a week, so it won't disrupt his vacation too much.
The Big 10
This year was Jasen's 10th birthday. He had a low key family day, with mush for breakfast followed by presents, then spent the day playing his new video games before his special dinner of bacon wrapped steaks, sausage, Caesar salad and s'more pie. He's super happy to finally be in the double digits, and he had a great day.
Memorial Day
For Memorial Day, we went to Salmon and camped with a big group of our friends. There were about 40 people there, and it was super fun. Lots of kids to play with, and lots of 4 wheelers dirt bikes and razors to drive. It was so nice to be with everyone and away from everyone else :) Unfortunately I only got a few photos all weekend.
Graduation
Today was Hunter's Kindergarten Graduation. The three classes all put on a musical program, followed by the diploma ceremony. It was a super cute program, and I am so proud of my little Hunty.
