Court of Honor

Tonight was Hunter's first Court of Honor as a Boy Scout. He's worked really hard in over the last month, and he earned his Scout rank, as well as 4 merit badges- Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, and First Aid.

Clean Up Crew

Cahl volunteered for an area recovery detail through work, so he spent the month of January down in Northern California, overseeing the wildfire clean up. He was based out of Napa, and worked at several surrounding sites. He was able to spend New Year's Day in San Francisco, and had a great time sightseeing before working the next 28 days straight. The magnitude of the destruction was really eye-opening, and it's amazing to see what was once multi-million dollar homes and vineyards reduced to nothing but empty concrete pools and chimneys. A month is a long time to be apart, but both Cahl and I are really happy that he had the opportunity to go!

Wrestling Tournament @ Caldwell

Today the boys had a wrestling tournament out in Caldwell. They both wrestled hard, but  lost their matches. Tristan should have won his second match, since the other kid stalled the whole time. They even went to 2x overtime, and Tristan ended up losing by 2 points.

Wrestling Meet vs Borah

Tonight the boys' team wrestled against Borah High School. Tristan didn't wrestle since he is still getting over being sick, and Jasen wasn't feeling great but he wrestled anyway.

Prospect Award

After having Brinley home sick yesterday, she was pleasantly surprised to come home with this awesome character award from school yesterday. She was recognized by her teacher for her respectfulness, responsibility, and resilience.
