Happy Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year, with both Cahl's mom and his stepdad coming to stay. hristmas Eve evening we did our traditional pajama and movie gifts. We all got spoiled rotten this year- Tristan got the transmission for his Mustang rebuilt and we surprised the other 3 kids with a cruise coming up in February! We all had a good day just spending time together and watching movies.

Court of Honor

Tonight was the last ever Court of Honor for the boys. The troop set up some tables so families could bring some items to display, and it was a nice sendoff to Scouting. Hunter was recognized for earning his Eagle rank, and he also earned his Wilderness Survival merit badge, an Eagle Palm, and the On My Honor award.

I'm so proud of our 3 boys, and all the work they've put into Scouting over the last 10 years. They've all put in so much time and effort into earning their Eagles, many additional badges and awards. They've all also spent time in leadership positions, leading the other scouts and doing countless hours of service. They've also all had the advantage of having Cahl as their leader, who has helped and pushed them to do great things. I'm a little sad to see Scouting end- it's been a wonderful program for our family, but I'm excited to see what the future brings!

Oops

Tristan was in a car accident today, and while his vehicle is totaled, we are relieved that he is alright! Unfortunately he'll be without a car in Pocatello for the spring semester, but luckily he is so close to everything on campus that he rarely drives anyway, and he has several friends from here in the valley, so he'll still be able to catch a ride home occasionally.

Dance Recital

This afternoon was Brinley's winter dance recital, and she did amazing! The 2 competition teams joined together for the opening number, and her team also had the closing number. They all did so great, and I'm excited to see how they continue progressing!

Goldfork and Birthday

The scouts were not able to fit in a campout this month, so instead they planned a day trip up to Goldfork Hot Springs. It happens to also be Hunter's 13th Birthday, so I made sure to send some cupcakes along, and when they got back we took him to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. After dinner, we came home for presents and cake, and Hunter thoroughly enjoyed his day!
