While Brinley and I were in Utah, Cahl and the boys and our friend Adam took the boat out Kokanee fishing at Lucky Peak. They had a great time, and came home with 4 kokanee and 2 rainbows. They even made friends with some ducks!
Axe Target
In preparation for girl's camp next month, Cahl built an axe throwing target and bought some throwing axes. We have all had a great time with it, and Brinley is getting really good at throwing!
Camping
We set out on our first camping trip of the year, and headed up to Fireman Hot Springs with Cahl's mom last weekend. We got a nice spot right by the river, and even though it rained and snowed most of the time, we still had a good time. Cahl and Brinley had a good time soaking in the hot spring, and even panned for gold in the river. We like that spot so much, we are planning to go back for Memorial Day.
Dance Competition- Spotlight
This evening was the final local dance competition for our girls this season, and they knocked it out of the park! Work earned a Diamond score, and won 1st place overall. It also won a Spotlight Award for Outstanding Entertainment. Vogue Mischief earned a Ruby score, and won 1st place in it's category. They continue to work hard week after week, and it shows!
Potomac River
This week Cahl had the opportunity to go back East to visit some dams on the Potomac River- in Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. He really enjoyed his time there, seeing all the historical sights and even walked part of the Appalachian Trail!
