This year, Tristan decided to do his science experiment on whether using hot or cold water to make dry ice bombs affects the explosion time. He made 6 bombs total, 3 with hot water and 3 with cold, using varying amounts of dry ice but the same amount of water each time. Then he timed how long it took for each one to explode. He was completely done with the ones for his project, and was messing around blowing up other bottles in the back yard when the cops showed up. I had had a feeling that they would come, and sure enough, one of our neighbors called them. But the cops were cool and said as long as he kept it in the back yard it was fine. They even seemed a little disappointed that he was done and they hadn't gotten to see one explode! It was pretty funny, and Tristan can't wait to tell his teacher and friends.
