Rendezvous

In Idaho, all 4th graders do Idaho history as their unit for the year (I remember doing it myself!), and at the end of the year here in Meridian is a huge Rendezvous! All of the 4th graders from the entire school district, about 3000 of them, come together for a day long Idaho history field trip. They set up about 30 different booths, and each class gets to go to 14 of them. I was able to go spend the day with Hunter's class, and it was so much fun! They learned about black powder rifles, the gems found in Idaho, the history of the Ada County Sheriff's office, square dancing, old pioneer music, stagecoaches, quilting, and gold panning. I can't wait to go with Brinley in a few years!
