Spring Break ~ Day 3

Monday we spent the day walking around Avalon, playing at a couple of parks, mini golfing, and at the beach. It was so fun to see all of the cool buildings, learn a bit of the history of the island, and just spend time together.

Spring Break ~ Days 1-2

This year for spring break we were invited to go down to southern California to spend the week with Stacey and Andy and their kids. We spent Saturday driving to Vegas to meet up with them and have dinner with the whole family. Sunday morning we got up early and caravaned with Stacey and Andy, and Mike and Diana down to Newport Beach. Once we got there, we loaded up Mike's boat and headed out to Catalina Island, where we stayed until Wednesday evening. Mike has a 48 foot boat, so it was cozy yet comfortable with all 12 of us. Jasen and Hunter were so excited to sleep out on the decks! Sunday evening we mostly stayed near the boat, getting settled and having dinner. The kids all had a great time taking the paddleboards and kayaks over to the beach and playing.

Birthday Party

Today for my 35th birthday, my friends took me to a super fun lunch, then Tristan took me to dinner at my favorite Mongolian restaurant. After that, Cahl and the kids surprised me with my very first birthday party! It was so much fun to celebrate like a 5 year old- with party hats, Pin the Tail on the Donkey, and a bounce house! It was so much fun, and I loved every minute of it!

Scout Campout

This month the scouts went camping at Givens Hot Springs, and spent Saturday hiking through Leslie Gulch and Juniper Gulch. This is one of their favorite spots each year, and they had a great time!

Buggy Ride

Today we didn't have much to do, so we decided to drive out south of Kuna and do some target shooting, and take a ride in the buggy. It was pretty chilly, and a little rainy, so we didn't stay out long, but we did see a few whistle pigs. Brinley even fell asleep on the ride!
