Orlando Day 4
Today was the last day of Cahl's training, and since he got done at noon, we spent the afternoon at Gator Land. Cahl was so excited to go, and it turned out to be worth it! They had so many animals to see, not just gators, and so much to do. Cahl and I fed the younger gators fish on a string, then Cahl fed the older ones hot dogs. We ended the day having dinner with Sister Smith, one of our original missionaries in Las Vegas 12 years ago, and her husband. It was so good to see her again, and catch up!
Orlando Day 3
I spent this afternoon north of Orlando, in Winter Park. I had been looking forward to going on the Scenic Boat Tour for months, and I'm so happy I did! It was a ride through 3 lakes (Virginia, Osceola, and Maitland), connected by gorgeous canals.
After the tour, I walked around downtown Winter Park and went to a couple of museums until Cahl got out of class. Then he and I headed even farther north to visit Blue Springs State Park. The park was beautiful, and we were lucky enough to see some Manatees and Armadillos! There was also a really pretty boardwalk along the spring, and a super cool museum. Visiting there was definitely a great idea!
We ended the day at Shantell's, a soul food restaurant on the way back to our hotel. The food was beyond amazing, and we even made friends with Shantell herself!

Orlando Day 2
This morning while Cahl was in class, I toured a Chocolate factory and museum. The history of chocolate and cacao trees is pretty interesting, and delicious! In the evening, we headed down to Old Town Kissimmee. It was not the historic old down town that I had imagined, but it was still fun to walk through the shops and hear the live music.
Orlando Day 1
Cahl had to attend some training in Orlando this week, and it just happened to work out that I got to tag along! We flew in yesterday evening, so we just had a low key dinner and watched the Super Bowl. Cahl was in class all day today, so I spent the day riding the trolley around and going to the Titanic exhibit and the Wax Museum. We ended the day having a delicious Cuban dinner with some of Cahl's coworkers.
Court of Honor
This evening the Scouts held a Court of Honor. Hunter earned his Plumbing, Electricity, Communication, and Radio merit badges, as well as his Star rank. Tristan also won a Snowball eating contest!
