Tonight we had Jasen's birthday party, down at the park by our house. The park has a small water feature, and we set up a bounce house and had a pinata. About 15 kids showed up, and Jasen had a great time. While everyone was still showing up, all the kids played in the water and bouncer. Then we had a watermelon eating contest, and that was a hit! They went to town, and ate way more watermelon than I expected them to. Then we all ate pizza and played for a while before doing the pinata. Every kid got at least several turns until the pinata was sufficiently broken and all the candy had been collected. After cake and ice cream and more playing, they had a water balloon war which was awesome! So finally after a few hours, people started heading home and we wrapped it all up. After we got home, Jasen opened all his presents. He got Wii games, a nerf gun, a huge water gun, Iron Man stuff, a slip and slide, a new scooter, some gift cards, and lots of other great stuff. He was thrilled, and said it was the best birthday yet!
