Wrestling Party
The boys finally had their Team Vegas wrestling party this afternoon. It was a lot of fun at a big park. There was a huge crowd of kids of all ages, and they were out in the grass playing football and kickball. Just hanging out together having fun. Then after it got dark, the coach put on a slide show of all the kids from throughout the season. It was really nice. After that, they gave out trophies and coaches awards. It was kind of a long party, but I thought it was really nice and I had a really good time. Tristan even lost another tooth while we were there! He's so funny, he insisted that he be the one to pull it out. And he did, with a napkin! He was so proud once he got it out!
Football~Rage vs Henderson Mulisha
Tristan's team played the Henderson Mulisha today. It was a little rough having the game at 2pm, when the weather is about 100 degrees! So before the game the team was huddled up under this tent to stay in the shade:
A little bit sad, but at least there are only a few games left this season. And the Rage pulled off another win today, 26-6. So their season is looking pretty good.
Goal!
Jasen's team played today, and they won 2-0! Jasen scored his first goal of the season today!! Yay, I am so proud. He even got a milkshake for it! His team did really well today. Jasen played defender for a while and he does really good there. I think he really enjoys soccer, more than t-ball. T-ball and baseball are just so boring when they are so little. Not enough action. But he seems to like soccer better, and he can't wait to be on the football team in the fall! He even goes down once a week to practice with them so he gets a feel for it. So he's starting to get really excited to play football. I am just excited to finally have 2 kids on the same team! It'll be so nice!
Jasen
Tonight at dinner Jasen informed us that "it's not good for kids to spend their money, because then they won't have any money to pay for school when they grow up." He says that "kids waste their money on a bunch of stupid toys, and then when they get big, they don't have anything. They won't have any money left for college. So it's better to not spend any money when you are a kid. That way you can go to college." For someone who's only 5, he's got it pretty well figured out!
