Cahl had some training for work down in San Diego last week, and I was fortunate enough to be able to go with him. We flew in early Sunday morning, and after we got our car, spent a few hours doing a little shopping and just hanging out at the hotel. We stayed at a lovely hotel, right on Mission Bay and across the street from Sea World. They had originally given us a ground floor room facing the parking lot, but gave us an upgrade to a 10th floor tower room over looking the pools and Mission Bay and the ocean. The view was so amazing! And it was pretty cool that there was a UFC fight happening during the week, and all of the fighters were staying in our same hotel. So we got to meet a few as we rode the elevators with them, or just ran into them around the grounds.
The next day, while Cahl was at class, I walked over to the boardwalk and walked around for a few hours. I love Mission Beach- the sounds of the ocean. The sounds of the rides at Belmont Park. The food. The people. All of it. That night, after Cahl got back, we went back to the boardwalk and walked around some more. Cahl was so proud of himself that he ran into the ocean before me. He even picked a pretty flower for me :)
